Dr Mercy Rumya Florence was born in palayamkottai,TamilNadu as the second child of a doctor couple.She did her early schooling at Santhosha Vidhyalaya,Dohnavur.She completed her higher secondary schooling fron Rosemary matriculation,palayamkottai.She did her MBBS from Tirunelveli medical college and her DGO from the prestigious Institute of Obstetrics and gynecology,Madras medical college.She did her fellowship in fetal medicine at Adi centre of advanced fetal medicine ,Bangalore.She is married to Dr Ranjit S.D.I an orthopedic surgeon and has 2 children aged 11 & 9.She had a passion to serve the less privileged people like her parents did in a village in Tirunelveli from her childhood
She is a leading fetal medicine consultant in Bangalore. She has an ardent passion towards saving the lives of the babies and letting their voices be heard.She is an expert in diagnosing various fetal abnormalities/problems and is also well versed with invasive fetal procedures like amniocentesis and genetic testing. She has vast experience in this field and has worked in many leading hospitals in Bangalore.
Currently she is the managing director of Mom & Me clinic and fetal medicine centre,Sahakar Nagar,Bangalore
